Walk & Silent Watch

This year, we’re partnering with the Silent Watch taking place all day on September 26th across from Corner Park. We encourage all walk participants to consider including the Silent Watch as part of their journey. You can learn more about the Silent Watch here.

In-Person Walk

Join us for the live walk at the AU Convo from 1:30-4 PM on the day of the event.

Please follow social distancing protocols and be sensitive to other participants who are walking, running, or jogging in the event.

In case of rain, the event will take place inside the Ashland University Recreation Center, located at 1000 King Rd. in Ashland.

Virtual Walk

For those interested in participating via a virtual walk, feel free to walk, run or jog one mile independently or with friends.

This is a free event and there is no need to solicit donations. The first 200 people to register for this free event will get the choice of a t-shirt or water bottle on the day of the walk. We have a limited supply of t-shirts and sizes.

Let's Get Social!

How to share:
During or after your one-mile share your thoughts or story to the social media platform of your choice and add #AshlandWalks4Awareness to spread awareness.

  •  Post a picture of yourself walking and include your story or the story of your loved one.
  • Share why you are walking to raise awareness.
  • Go “live” on your own personal channel to talk about the event, how you’re participating, and why it’s important.
  • Share your story. Share about who you’re walking for. Share why you’re passionate about suicide prevention and awareness.

What are others posting?
You can search for the designated hashtag #AshlandWalks4Awareness on any platform and see what others have shared from their time walking during MHRB of Ashland County's Suicide Prevention & Awareness Virtual Walk 2021.
